Wimbledon divides sharply between the Village and the town. Up in Wimbledon Village it is affluent period homes on hilly, narrow streets where a large van struggles and high-value furniture needs proper protection. Down by the station and broadway it is flats and busier roads. The one date everyone forgets is the Championships: for the tennis fortnight in late June and early July, the streets around the All England Club face parking suspensions, road restrictions and heavy crowds — so we plan moves well clear of it.
During the tennis (late June/early July), streets near the All England Club get parking suspensions and road restrictions. We schedule moves around the fortnight to avoid getting boxed out.
Wimbledon Village is hilly with tight period streets and high-value homes. We assess whether a smaller van plus a short shuttle beats forcing a Luton up the hill, and protect fragile, valuable furniture properly.
Around the station and South Wimbledon it is flats and busier roads — a different, more standard move that we size and price accordingly.
Period houses and high-value homes in Wimbledon Village, Victorian terraces toward Merton Park, and flats around the town centre and South Wimbledon.
A major interchange (District line, National Rail, Tramlink); the Championships fortnight is the key date we plan around, alongside the Village hills.
