Hackney moves are usually fast, frequent and stair-heavy. The borough is full of Victorian terraces carved into walk-up flats, and a young, mobile population means lots of single-room and flat-share moves where one or two items need shifting quickly rather than a full lorry. We size the van to the job — often a Medium or Large van rather than a Luton — so you are not paying for space you do not need on a one-bed move around Dalston or London Fields.
Most E8 and E9 flats are first- or second-floor conversions with no lift. We factor the floor count into the quote up front, so a top-floor Clapton flat is priced fairly rather than padded.
A lot of Hackney work is part-loads — one person moving out of a shared house. We are happy to do single-room and part-van jobs without charging you for a whole property removal.
The terraced streets off Mare Street and around London Fields are tight and busy with parked cars. We arrive early where possible to secure a load point close to the door.
Victorian terraced conversions, ex-council blocks around Homerton, and newer canal-side apartments near the Regent’s Canal and Hackney Wick fringe.
Hackney has no Underground but strong Overground links (Dalston, Hackney Central, London Fields); van access on the terraced side streets is what we plan around, not the trains.
